Megan's History & Experience in Window Treatments
After graduating from Wichita state, Megan taught 4th grade for 5 years, and then put her creative skills to use designing and selling high end jewelry. Impressed with her design and creative skills her cousin, the previous owner of Louver Shop Wichita, offered her the business. Megan loved the idea of helping people with their homes and took the reins in 2016. She since has expanded the territory, built on outstanding customer service to create the most positively reviewed window treatment company in the area.
Meanwhile, Corbin, Megan’s husband was a highly successful real estate agent at the time, but gradually became more involved in the business alongside Megan. Because of this experience, Corbin brings a client centric focus to the business having learned how much window-treatments add to a home–both in value and design from his real estate clients and peers.
Now, both Megan and Corbin love the window-treatment industry. Not only does it allow them to provide satisfying and fulfilling customer service and products to all of their clients, it achieves a lifelong dream for them, the opportunity to work together!

While the Turpin’s don’t have kids of their own, they stay consistently involved in their family, working hard to be the favorite aunt and uncle to their 13 nieces and nephews–most of which also reside in the Wichita area.
Megan and Corbin spend all of their time together. Whether it's heading to watch baseball, wrestling, basketball or football games, or just spending time outdoors–boating or fishing, or even just in their own backyard, they always do it together!

The Turpins love their Wichita community. As they state it, “it’s a great place to raise kids, and extremely comfortable for anyone, no matter where you’re from”. They love the affordability and that retirees are also welcomed.
One interesting, unknown fact about the Turpins is that they are Shriners! Corbin utilized Shriners hospital as a child and will forever be grateful for the services they provide.

Both Megan and Corbin consider themselves design consultants. Their purpose is to help customers complete their vision and avoid decisions that they may later regret. For instance, they once had a client who wanted to put a set of shutters in their kitchen, but when the Turpin’s pointed out the inconveniences this may present, they went with blinds instead and were far happier with the result.
Instead of pushing their products on clients, they want to make sure they get the best fit for their home–no matter what! To know that their customers are satisfied never fails to warm their souls. This always pays off, as the Louver Shop of Wichita has won numerous awards for service and customer satisfaction.
Megan and Corbin are Hunter Douglas certified and are close to completing their Interior Design Certificate. They are constantly working to stay on top of window-treatment and interior design trends and products!
Megan and Corbin also complete all their own installs. This means you will never see a sub-contractor or unlicensed person installing your shutters, blinds, or shades. They are with you from start to finish, a team that enjoys being able to play off of each other’s strengths through every step of the process.
The Turpin’s favorite Louver Shop products are their beautiful shutters. They’re timeless, easy to clean and permanent. Corbin points out that some of his appraisers say that they never get replaced if included in the sale of a home. They even have shutters in their own home. Megan also likes shades and states they’re extremely versatile and a great choice for home automation.

We got to meet the Owner on a walk in. He was able to assist us in fixing our 17 year old blind. It had been sitting at my house for many years. I had tryed the big stores over the years with out success. They have a great selection available. With many different designs to choose from. Also they are offering blinds for environmental tax incentives. Great Experience with kid friendly show room.

I contacted Affordable Blinds & Shutters about window coverings for a new home. We were very pleased with the process from initial contact and first reviewing online the different products available to assist with selecting blinds to meet our needs. Meeting with a very knowledgeable design-sales-install representative Jenny, she provided awesome expertise on options and we quickly narrowed our selection down to move forward with the installation date. The installer, Greg, arrived with all shades ordered. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Completed the installation throughout the house quickly, answered questions and did a great job. There were a few issues identified that required reorder, but these were taken care of within a few weeks and the job was then completed satisfactorily by Greg and Rick. We love the new shades on our windows. They are very versatile, provide a clean look and are a quality product. Would definitely recommend and use ABS service in the future.
I cannot say enough good things about Corbin and Megan. Not only are they knowledgeable in their craft, but they're also super personable and caring as individuals. Compared to other customer service from similar businesses, these guys are 1000% worth every penny. Would hire again in a heart beat!
